Swedish TV operator Com Hem has signed a partnership with factual media company CuriosityStream.
The deal will see Com Hem subscribers have access to CuriosityStream’s library of factual and documentary content through a linear service. The operator said that access to CuriosityStream’s SVOD service will be added soon, along with addition of its content to Comhem Play+.
This will be the first time that CuriosityStream will be available in Sweden, with the streamer saying that much of its programming will be available with Swedish subtitles.
CuriosityStream was launched by Discovery Channel founder John Hendricks with a focus on factual entertainment across a range of genres including science, history, technology and nature. The library is made up of third party content and originals including David Attenborough’s Light On Earth and the Emmy award-winning Stephen Hawking’s Favorite Places.
President and CEO of CuriosityStream, Clint Stinchcomb said: “We are tremendously excited to bring the breadth and depth of our content and original programming about our world and beyond to Com Hem viewers. Sweden, where, as they say, ‘there’s no bad weather, just bad clothes’, is a culture of nature, environment, and family loving lifelong learners. We share Com Hem’s commitment to providing their subscribers with entertaining and engaging experiences that will enrich their lives.” https://www.digitaltveurope.com
