Inpixon, which provides indoor intelligence solutions, announced that it has received certification for its new multi-technology sensor from the US Federal Communications Commission.
“We are pleased to receive this certification from the FCC for our new multi-technology sensor, which follows the recently announced FCC certification of our UWB module,” said CEO of Inpixon, Nadir Ali. “We believe we are one of the only vendors that has developed a sensor capable of detecting cellular, Wi-Fi, BLE and UWB which is also integrated with an Indoor Intelligence platform that includes mapping, analytics and device positioning. Inpixon’s comprehensive technology with the ability to provide positional accuracy in under 30 centimeters for wireless devices and asset tags enables a powerful, diverse set of use cases, from cybersecurity situational awareness and rogue device detection to asset tracking and visitor management. We will continue to build on our engineering accomplishments as we develop additional innovations to fuel our product offering and capture an increasing share of the fast-growing location-based services (LBS) and real-time location systems (RTLS) markets.”
Inpixon’s Indoor Intelligence platform ingests diverse data from IoT, third-party and proprietary sensors designed to detect and position active cellular, Wi-Fi, UWB and Bluetooth devices. Paired with a high-performance data analytics engine, patented algorithms, and advanced mapping technology, Inpixon’s solutions are leveraged by a multitude of industries to do good with indoor data. This multidisciplinary depiction of indoor data enables users to increase revenue, decrease costs, and enhance safety, the company said.
Last week, Inpixon acquired a suite of on-device “blue dot” indoor location and motion technologies, including patents, trademarks, software and related intellectual property (IP), from Ten Degrees.
“These assets provide a best-in-class solution for device positioning and can operate without an active internet connection or other infrastructure such as Bluetooth or GPS,” noted Ali. “The addition of this technology within our suite of capabilities further enhances our indoor intelligence platform as one the most robust, in-house offerings available in the market to meet the full range of indoor intelligence needs.”
