The International Institute of Communications (IIC) is titillating its members and wider community in MENA  by  organizing a webinar that would be providing them the opportunity to update their international peers on progress with digital transformation, particularly in the light of ‘building back better’ strategies which are at the forefront of everyone’s minds, information from the Director-General of IIC, Lynn Robinson confirms.

In the webinar holding between Tuesday, Wednesday 23 and Thursday March 24, 2021

at 1100 AST / 0900 CET / 1000 EET / 1200 GST, attendees will find out how regulators and industry from across the telco and content sectors have risen to the challenges of the past 12 months and what their core areas of focus are in 2021.

Accelerating digital transformation in the Middle East & North Africa: building the regulatory/policy skillsets so that everyone benefits as we emerge from the pandemic

On March 23,  the conversation will start with telco regulators sharing their experiences, achievements and priorities; industry experts will then respond. Topical themes for discussion will include addressing the digital divide, next generation infrastructure, spectrum allocation, international connectivity, cloud policy frameworks and cybersecurity.

Audiovisual regulators and industry will be discussing the impact of digital transformation, with particular focus on the digital television transition, on-demand services and OTT platform regulation, supporting local creative content and cultural diversity, and initiatives to tackle disinformation.
