Chinese phone brand Oppo said it will introduce its first 5G-ready smartphone, the OPPO A74 5G, priced under Rs 20,000(US$ 268.31) in India.
“This is OPPO’s first phone with 5G compatibility in the pocket friendly segment,” the company said on Friday.
“The brand has been consistently working to bring in customer-centric meaningful innovations and advanced technologies across its portfolio and this new A series smartphone bears testimony towards OPPO’s continuous endeavour in democratising cutting-edge technology for one and all,” it said.
Oppo already has a 5G device portfolio in India including the popular Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G and the recently launched F series – Oppo F19 Pro+ 5G.

This time, it is introducing its first A series phone with 5G capabilities.
Pricing and complete specification of the new A Series will be revealed on April 20th, 2021.
