LG Electronics USA and WarnerMedia announced today that the HBO Max app is now available on LG Smart TVs in the US, including its line-up of award-winning LG OLED TVs.
WarnerMedia’s premium streaming service HBO Max is now available in LG smart TVs in the US.
The app offers access to more than 13,000 hours of content from brands including HBO, Warner Bros., DC, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, Turner Classic Movies.
LG smart TV owners can access HBO Max on the TV’s webOS platform by opening the HBO Max app using their remote or when available, by saying “HBO Max” into their LG Magic Remote.
WarnerMedia parent company AT&T recently announced that HBO Max and its linear counterpart now have a total of 67.5 million subscribers worldwide, with 47 million of that total residing in the US. Warner has also upped its growth expectations for the year to 70-73 million subscribers up from a previous estimate of 67-70 million while leaning into the Latin American market where the streamer launched earlier this month.
The app will launch in Europe, but its rollout to the continent has been delayed from H2 2021 to early 2022.
