Luxembourg service provider Eltrona, whose network covers 85 per cent of households in the country, has launched TV+, a new interactive TV service in partnership with Ocilion.
The service offers catch-up TV, an integrated video library, fast zapping and recordings among other functions. The Eltrona TV+ app provides access to content on a tablet or smartphone.
The user menu can be set in Luxembourgish and five other languages, and the order of channels is automatically sorted according to the language selected. Users receive content recommendations based on their preferences.
The service, which includes a 4K set-top box, is also available on all other Internet networks in Luxembourg.
“We are delighted to be able to provide our clients with the latest technology in television offerings on a national ultra-high-speed network. If technology has been at the core of our developments to provide a quality service, this is above all a new experience which caters to new TV habits, service and customer satisfaction that have been at the heart of our thinking,” said CEO of Eltrona Interdiffusion, Paul Denzle.
CEO ocilion, Hans Kühberger said: “It is with great pleasure that we have been able to support Eltrona in the implementation of TV+ to market maturity and we are already looking forward to further cooperation and the ongoing development of the platform. TV+ is a brand new, future-proof television product that ideally serves new user habits, the desire for time-shifting and mobile playback as well as additional content offers. With our IPTV solution, we provide Eltrona with these perfectly integrated and turnkey functionalities and meet the high-quality requirements of Eltrona and their end customers.”
