Barring unforeseen circumstances, the annual Washington DC Telecom & Media Forum will hold 8-9 December as scheduled, Cyber Era NG has learnt.
IIC information authored by its Director-General, Lynn Robinson, sighted by this medium, says all sessions are online this year and “we are packing a wide range of opinions into the discussions which will look at protecting and connecting consumers, citizens, government and business.”
These include:
- National and international policy objectives and priorities
- New rules for content on the Internet
- Competition dynamics in digital markets
- Implications of broadband ‘everywhere’ rollout
- Policy frameworks for 5G and beyond
- Privacy, security, data protection and trust
