The National Bureau of Statistics(NBS) has announced the promotion Ichedi Sunday Joel and eight others as Directors of Statistics. Mr. Ichedi is the spokesman of the agency.
This is according to a circular issued by the Bureau on December 2, 2021, to which Cyber Era NG is privy.
Born in Odugbo in APA LGA of Benue, Ichedi attended Saint Michael’s primary school from where he proceeded to Saint John’s Secondary School Amoke in the same APA LGA. After his secondary school, Ichedi proceeded to School of Basic Studies Makurdi and later Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria, where he graduated in Economics in 1988.
Upon completion of his University degree, Ichedi joined the services of the then Federal Office of Statistics in 1992 as a Statistician 2 and Rose to the rank of Director of Statistic.
Ichedi also acquired post graduate diplomas in Statistics, Advertising and Public Relations, journalism and MBA from the University of Ibadan, IIJ Abuja and ESUT respectively. He also holds a professional diploma in public relations.
Ichedi also attended a French proficiency course in the institute fracais Abuja and is currently a post graduate student of Economics in Nasarawa State University where he is carrying out a serious research on the impact of farmers/ herders conflict on the livelihoods of the people of Agatu LGA. He is married and is blessed with children.
