A global organisation unifying the mobile ecosystem to discover, develop and deliver innovation foundational to positive business environments and societal change, GSMA has cancelled the M360 Eurasia slated for Mosco this year, following the Russia invasion of Ukraine late February.
In a terse statement, the organization said: “The GSMA is proud to be a global organisation. We believe in the power of our industry to unite people and support dialogue and understanding across the globe.
It is therefore with sadness that, in consideration of the tragic humanitarian impact of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, we will not proceed with our planned Mobile360 Eurasia event in Moscow this year.
Our members continue to play an active role in providing vital mobile and digital assistance to those affected by the situation in Ukraine, providing free mobile services such as SIMs, mobile roaming, calls, and texts, as well as charitable donations. To find out more, please check our Twitter feed @GSMA.
We look forward to welcoming visitors to the other events in our Mobile360 Series.”
