Aferian-owned TV technology provider Amino has named Mike Tometzki as SVP of sales.
Tometzki joins from Technicolor, where he was VP of sales responsible for Turkey and MEA markets, and with a most recent focus on UK and Ireland.
Prior to that he worked at Kaon Media, Humax, Irdeto, and Pace, now part of CommScope.
“I’ve long been an admirer of Amino’s continued product innovation of its streaming devices and the quality of its Pay TV & Enterprise solution offering. I’m very excited to be joining the company at a time when there is huge opportunity for growth in both the Pay TV and Enterprise markets globally,” says Tometzki.
“A particular opportunity for Amino is that we combine carrier-grade solutions, such as AminoOS and Amino Engage, with high levels of ongoing service management and maintenance throughout the life of our solutions for both Android TV & RDK platforms. We’re at the opposite end of the spectrum from the ‘sell and leave’ approach of many of our competitors. I look forward to ensuring that the technical and service excellence of Amino is an engine for future growth.”
Group CEO, Aferian plc, Donald McGarva said: “I’m delighted that we’ve appointed Mike, bringing his proven 25-plus years’ experience and technical expertise to help drive the next wave of success at Amino. I’m looking forward to attending NAB Show later in April with Mike and the wider Amino team, representing a great opportunity to engage with customers and the industry community to explore how Amino can empower media and entertainment excellence moving forward.”
