Video technology company Amino and analytics and video service quality specialist Agama have teamed up to integrate the Amino Operator Ready Android TV solution with Agama Client Device Monitoring (CDM) for operators that want Android TV core capabilities, but with device lifecycle management and real-time insights on service quality and viewer experience.
Maltese service provider GO Malta has already deployed the integrated producdts with Android Operator Tier certifications that allow for additional user interface and back-office customisation for more control over the user experience
Amino’s Operator Ready Android TV is powered by AminoOS, a SaaS platform for centralized device management, and by Amino Engage, a cloud-based service management solution that manages and supports deployed Android TV.
The solution is compatible with the Amino Amigo 7X device, an Android TV Operator Tier certified Ultra-HD client TV device, with tuner options, according to Amino.
Agama’s video observability solution provides QoE service and customer experience visibility for subscribers. The solution is designed to deliver real-time understanding and insights of the video delivery chain, from the headend to the viewer consuming the video.
“One of our main product development objectives is to reduce the complexity of operator service deployments through proven integrations and managed services. Partner integrations like this one with Agama help customers efficiently operate and improve their video services, while simplifying the deployment and management of the increasingly popular Android TV platform. It is satisfying to see our customers continue to innovate and thrive in their markets,” said Amino CEO Donald McGarva.
“We are happy to contribute to the success of our customers by providing a video observability solution that helps operators manage their video delivery services as well as providing insights on customer experience. Our integration with Amino has been very smooth and we hope to continue our long standing collaboration and offer other providers a powerful solution mix for their business,” said product and engineering director, Agama, Johan Görsjö.
