A1 Telekom Austria Group’s chief financial officer, Siegfried Mayrhofer, will exit the company at the end of August 2023 after over two decades.
According to Telekom Austria, Mayrhofer made the decision in mid-2022 and informed the presidium of the supervisory board about it. He will leave when his management board contract expires.
Mayrhofer joined the company in 2000 and has since held various management positions before being appointed chief financial officer in 2014. During his 23 years at Telekom Austria, he played a key role in setting the strategic course for the company and ensured a strong financial profile with a profound balance between value and growth.
Chairwoman of Telekom Austria Group’s supervisory board Edith Hlawati said: “In challenging times, Siegfried Mayrhofer played a key role as CFO in shaping the important strategic course for the company: A1 Telekom Austria Group belongs to one of the most successful European telecommunications groups in terms of growth and EBITDA. Furthermore, the company recently received a rating of “A-” from Standard & Poor’s – this is the best S&P rating in the company’s history ever. Siegfried Mayrhofer made a big contribution to this success.”
