Freemarket Taps Greg Sherwin As CTO Of International Payments And Fx-Focused Fintech

Freemarket has appointed Greg Sherwin as Chief Technology Officer to oversee the company’s overarching technology strategy, including technology development, architecture, platforms, testing, and operational resiliency.
Greg Sherwin joins Freemarket after more than 25 years of technology experience across all disciplines and many different sectors, including nine years in financial services technology leadership roles at Lloyd’s and Barclays.
At the two leading UK banks, he helped deliver and transform customers’ and colleagues’ experiences through digitalization, automation, and simplification, establishing a legacy across people, technology, process, and culture.
He also played an instrumental role at British Gas from 2005 to 2012, laying down a digital platform across multiple channels to drive business benefits and customer engagement.
Sherwin’s last role prior to joining Freemarket was with a full fiber network startup provider as their chief technology and information officer and was responsible for delivering strategic technology and ways of working in order to go from startup to scale-up.
