Silicon Ranch Completes Tennessee Solar Farm With Support Of Utilities, EV Maker

Renewable energy company Silicon Ranch has completed a 6.75-MW solar facility in Puryear, Tennessee, in partnership with the Paris Board of Public Utilities (Paris BPU) and the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA).
The project, named Paris Solar Farm – Puryear, has been developed as part of TVA’s Generation Flexibility Program, which aims to encourage local power companies to develop distributed generation facilities and provide renewable energy solutions to customers.
According to Silicon Ranch, the facility will produce enough renewable energy to power about 1,000 homes per year and help ensure that Paris BPU continues to provide Henry County customers with safe, reliable, cost-effective energy.
Through this project, the company also expects to generate hundreds of thousands of dollars in new tax revenue for the county.
Additionally, electric automaker Rivian Automotive has partnered with Silicon Ranch’s carbon solutions platform Clearloop to support the development of 1 MW of the Paris Solar Farm – Puryear project.
