AMC Networks International Southern Europe has launched a new travel-themed channel in Spain. ¡Buenviaje! will be available on the Movistar Plus+, Vodafone TV, Orange TV and Jazztel TV platforms and on the platforms of the MásMóvil-owned Euskaltel Group – Euskaltel, R and Telecable, as well as CLICtv, the platform of Avatel Telecom.
The channel will include what the company describes as innovative, high-quality formats, with own-produced original content covering all aspects of travel and tourism. Its content will be organised into thematic pillars on the likes of essential destinations, hotels and accommodation, gastronomy, landscapes and aerial views.
Titles include Japan with Sue Perkins on Japan, Rick Stein’s Cornwall and Rock the Park.
“We are very proud to launch a specialist travel channel in Spain together with our reference partners. ¡Buenviaje joins our portfolio with the aim of bringing viewers new and exciting ideas thanks to a wide variety of current, exclusive and prestigious content from all over the world,” said CEO of AMC Networks International Southern Europe, Manuel Balsera.
The launch of the travel channel follows AMC Networks Southern Europe’s launch of family-focused channel Enfamilia at the end of last year, replacing the now closed kids channel Canal Panda.
On Movistar Plus+, ¡Buenviaje! will replace music channel Sol Música, leading to a minor reorganisation of channels on the platform.
