Berlin-based Fintech Denario Gets Acquired By American Company Pandadoc To Integrate Payments Workflow
By Stefano De Marzo
A leading all-in-one quote-to-cash and contract automation platform, PandaDoc, has announced the acquisition of German fintech startup Denario, an innovative B2B SaaS company specializing in payment management solutions.
PandaDoc plans to strategically incorporate Denario’s tech capabilities into its proprietary platform, expanding its industry-leading documents and payments workflow. PandaDoc and Denario have been collaborating closely since Q2 of 2022, and the acquisition will enable both companies to combine their complementary product offerings in order to better serve existing customers and generate new ones.
“We are thrilled to welcome the Denario team into the PandaDoc family,” said CEO and Founder of PandaDoc Mikita Mikado. “The company’s domain expertise, product vision, and relevant tech stack make them the ideal fit to accelerate our offerings. We are committed now more than ever to empower PandaDoc users to run their businesses more efficiently from quote, to signing, to payment collection and beyond, and adding Denario’s embedded payments technology to our product suite will greatly advance this mission.”
While PandaDoc’s current solution facilitates payment collection directly from contracts, the new roadmap will greatly expand users’ visibility into their cash flow, allowing them to manage, collect, and report on invoices alongside their contracts, all in one location.
PandaDoc’s decision to further invest in payments technology was driven by a clear understanding of small businesses needs for a seamless and frictionless workflow from “proposal to cash” while simultaneously providing opportunities for software consolidation. PandaDoc anticipates new payment capabilities will begin to be released to users in 2024.
Since its founding in 2013, PandaDoc has been on a mission to empower growing businesses to thrive by taking the work out of document workflows. PandaDoc is backed by leading venture firms and corporate investors, including OMERS Growth Equity, G-Squared, Altos Ventures, Rembrandt Venture Partners, One Peak Partners, M12 (Microsoft), and HubSpot. PandaDoc is proudly a remote-first global company.
Founded in 2021, Denario is backed by early-stage VCs, including 468 Capital, Presight Capital, and MPGI, the startup has additional capital commitments from the European Regional Development Fund.
