Efficient Energy Group Highlights Renewable Energy Rebates To Boost Sustainability Efforts
By Julius Ewudo, ASEAN Region Representative
The New South Wales government provides important renewable energy rebates and incentives for eligible households and businesses. These initiatives are specifically designed to help the broad community use energy more sustainably whilst reducing their energy costs. This improves energy efficiency, reduces carbon footprint, and supports Australia’s transition to a greener future.
Renewable Energy Rebates – Important For Sustainability
The NSW government prioritises the implementation of renewable energy sources to help slow climate change and build a sustainable energy infrastructure. Programmes like the Energy Savings Scheme, through which the government supports and encourages upgrades to clean energy sources and energy efficiency, are key to this goal. Such incentives help to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, reduce reliance on our energy infrastructure, alleviate the impact of extreme weather events on power supplies, and ensure a sustainable energy future for all Australians.
Efficient Energy Group – A Leading Sustainability Service Company
As a trusted partner in sustainability in NSW, Victoria, and Queensland, Efficient Energy Group provides comprehensive resources and information about available rebates and similar schemes in these states. The company’s goal is to help individuals, households, and businesses move towards better, more cost-effective, and environmentally sustainable, energy solutions by helping them access available financial incentives that facilitate their transition to renewable energy sources.
Renewable energy rebates available in NSW include:
Small-scale Technology Certificates (STCs)
By installing eligible renewable energy systems such as solar panels, solar water heaters, or heat pumps, households and businesses can generate STCs. Efficient Energy Group ensures customers understand the process and maximises their potential return on investment through the generation of these certificates.
Energy Savings Scheme
The ESS rebates are designed to help businesses and households improve their energy efficiency by upgrading existing equipment and appliances (lighting, air conditioning, and various other appliances) to more energy efficient ones. Efficient Energy Group helps eligible energy-users access these government-funded upgrades.
The ESS was set up in 2009 under the NSW Electricity Supply Act 1995 to help households and businesses offset the cost of installing energy-efficient appliances and equipment. These products can help consumers considerably reduce their power bills, and contributes to reducing demand on the state’s power grid.
According to the NSW Government’s 2021 Energy Savings Scheme Annual Report, ESS participating households and businesses in 2020 collectively saved an estimated 3.8 million megawatt-hours of energy, resulting in a massive US$574 million savings on power bills!
Through the ESS, Efficient Energy Group can offer eligible households exciting incentives to replace outdated, inefficient appliances and equipment with advanced energy-efficient alternatives.
