Allegiant Stadium, home of the Las Vegas Raiders and host of Super Bowl LVIII, is considered the most energy-efficient stadium in the NFL, running on 100 per cent renewable power. To continue this legacy of sustainability, the stadium will be installing EV chargers for visitors to use, and Allegiant announced it has selected Blink Charging Co. to provide the chargers.

Allegiant has run largely on solar energy since 2019, when it entered a 25-year energy supply agreement with NV Energy. Under the agreement, the stadium purchases the power from NV Energy’s off-site, 621,000-solar panel system. The stadium is also one of seven LEED Gold-certified stadiums in the league.

Blink plans to install its Series 8 charging station, which is specially made for commercial usage and offers a Level 2 80-amp charger. Drivers can use both physical and digital payments, and the chargers are rated for indoor and outdoor installations. The chargers will be open 24/7 to members of the public, regardless of whether they are attending a game.

“Our organization’s record on sustainability and renewable energy speaks for itself, and we feel more than confident putting our trust in Blink’s know-how and expertise to provide fans and guests a seamless EV charging experience when visiting Allegiant Stadium,” said Vice President of the Las Vegas Raiders Christopher Sotiropulos,.

22% of Blink’s chargers are installed internationally, and the company has a total of 84,725 sold, deployed, or installed as of September 2023.

Executives announced they would report Q4 and full-year results mid-to-late February 2024, but the company announced in its last report that it brought in nearly $100 million in revenue.
