Car Enthusiast, Chief Okeowo Praises Organisers Of The Lagos Motor Show…Rallies Support For The LMS Foundation

Founder and Chairman of Gilbratar Construction Company Limited and Car Enthusiast Chief Olu Okeowo has commended organizers of the Lagos Motor Show(LMS), the Royal Media Group, for their exemplary leadership in putting up the show, even as he draws support for the proposed LMS Foundation. The LMS held at the Main Arena of the Tafawa Balewa Square(TBS), Onikan, Lagos, south west, Nigeria, between February 16th and 17th, 2024.
Chief Okeowo, who was an early bird at the show, stated that it would have taken a high degree of commitment to the Nigerian project for the organizers to put up the show.
His words: “I must say it takes a mind of nationalism, a mind of patriotism and a very good background to be able to put this kind of show together. When you buy cars, cars are meant to be kept very well. A man can be seen and predicted by the kind of car he drives. A lot of us from struggling background, I remember, when you car breaks down, on the road, in those days, when your car breaks down, it will be very difficult to get a woman to look at you.
“But today, we thank God that the things of old are the things of the future because indeed, your past shows a lot about your future. I thank God for the presence of your vicar here, who indeed, must be doing the right things and speaking the right words to you. And that must be responsible for what you are doing here today. I thank God for your life. I thank God for what you do. I thank God for today. It is my prayer that this programme would be continued and that vehicles that are littering the roadsides, which are heritages of the past, should be given to the Foundation for preservation so that indeed we can tell a proper future tomorrow. Nigeria is a very historical country, a good country and all we have to do is to preserve our legacies of the past because we are indeed all equal before God. So it is my prayer that at these trying times, what we are trying to do is to drive in all cars which also serves as a gusto to our leaders so that our economy is preserved. I wish you the best and I thank you all for coming.”
