The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is preparing its first Civil Society Engagement Approach, which outlines the EBRD’s overall engagement with civil society as a critical partner in promoting multiparty democracy, pluralism, the qualities of a well-functioning market economy and the EBRD’s activities in the economies where it operates.

The EBRD values the input of civil society organisations (CSOs) and invites them to participate in an online workshop to share their views and suggestions on the document.

The workshop will provide an opportunity for CSOs to learn more about the EBRD’s engagement with civil society, to exchange ideas and experiences with other CSOs and suggest areas for further collaboration with the EBRD and to provide feedback on the draft approach document.

The consultation process on the Civil Society Engagement Approach runs until 22 April 2024.
