An estimated 8 million BT customers are overpaying by £1.1 billion(US$1.4billion) a year for the same full fibre broadband, supplied by Openreach, which is available from Vodafone at a lower price.

People currently with BT, EE and Sky can get the same quality broadband for less by switching to Vodafone – with BT customers making the biggest saving of more than £200**.

Vodafone will offer broadband customers signing up for Full Fibre 900 up to £100 to cover exit fees, making switching easier for those stuck in expensive contracts.

Vodafone has launched ‘The Great British Telecoms Switch’, a new campaign to help people get a better deal for their broadband.

Consumers that are currently with providers who use the Openreach network, including BT, EE and Sky, can get the same reliable full fibre broadband for less by switching to Vodafone. BT customers can make the biggest saving of more than £200** on average. To help take the hassle out of changing broadband provider, Vodafone is offering customers switching to its Full Fibre 900 package up to £100 to cover early termination fees.

Many UK consumers are unaware that BT, EE, Sky and Vodafone broadband all receive the same broadband technology, supplied by Openreach, who run some of the country’s broadband network. This means that an estimated 8 million BT customers are overpaying by more than £200** for the same full fibre broadband that is also available with Vodafone, which equates to a huge £1.1 billion* a year. There has never been a better time to switch broadband providers, with new customers exempt from any mid-contract price rises until April 2025.
