With just under five weeks to go until this year’s Future Leaders competition deadline, the International Institute of Communications (IIC) says it looks forward to breaking this record further, Cyber Era NG learns, following a heads-up over email from the Director-General at IIC, Ms Lynn Robinson.
Last year’s Future Leaders Competition saw a record breaking number of entries from over 16 countries.
For this year’s edition, the topic is: “Breaking down barriers to sustainability,” and participants are expected to answer the following questions:
- A green and digital ‘twin transition’ is underway but can both targets be met?
- What can the communications industry do to assure future sustainability?
- Are policies sufficient to achieve the targets, what regulations and structures are needed, and who should pay? And, more.
Key dates:
*Monday 12 August 2024 – Final deadline for entries by 16:00 BST
*Monday 9 September 2024 – Winner announced
Interested participants are requested to submit their entry directly to Emily at e.brooks@iicom.org
“Whether you are entering the competition individually or collaborating with colleagues, please do remind yourself of the competition rules here,” stated Ms Robinson.
What can you win?
The overall winner will receive an invitation to present their winning entry at the IIC’s Annual Conference (6 -7 November 2024) with all expenses paid and a £250 subsistence. The winning entry will be published in Intermedia (the IIC’s quarterly journal), online and on our social media channels.
The top 10 entries will have their abstract published in Intermedia and their full entry published online
