Regulators From East, West & Southern Africa Join IIC Botswana Forum 10-12 Sept

The International Institute of Communications (IIC’s) inaugural Botswana Forum is only a few weeks away and promises to be another exceptional opportunity for sharing experiences and benchmarking best practice at the highest of levels and the event organisers and hosts, the IIC and BOCRA are delighted to be welcoming regulatory leadership from Cameroon, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Eswatini, Lesotho, Malawi, Nigeria, South Africa, Uganda and Zambia – so far, Cyber Era NG learns exclusively!

An event advisory available to us from the Director-General at IIC, Ms. Lynn Robinson reveals the regulatory heads that have been confirmed to feature.  These include:

  • Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer(EVC/CEO), Nigerian Communications Commission, Dr. Aminu Maida
  • Executive Director, Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) Nyombi Thembo
  • CEO, Eswatini Communications Commission (ESCCOM); Chairperson, CRASA, Mvilawemphi Dlamini

“Industry participation is also very strong and we are looking forward to the CEO discussion on the opening morning of the Forum: Digital transformation – industry’s evolving roles and responsibilities to drive the digital economy,” according to Ms. Robinson.
