The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is participating in this year’s 16th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (Biodiversity COP16)underscoring its role as a pioneer in scaling up action for nature and biodiversity, Cyber Era NG has learnt.
The event will take place between 21 October and 1 November 2024, in Cali, Colombia.
The theme of Biodiversity COP16 is “peace with nature” and it will be the first Biodiversity COP since the adoption of the Global Biodiversity Framework in 2022.
Bank Vice President for Policy and Partnerships Mark Bowman, Managing Director Climate Strategy and Delivery Harry Boyd-Carpenter and Managing Director, Environment and Sustainability Henrik Linders are among the key EBRD figures expected to attend the event.
