IIC Telecommunications & Media Forum Brussels Beckons

The International Institute of Communications (IIC) is returning  to Brussels for it’s annual Europe Forum  to be hosted once again by the Belgian Institute for Postal Services and Telecommunications (BIPT). The in-person event holds 12th – 13th March 2024.

Following a heads-up provided by the IIC Director-General, Lynn Robinson, Cyber Era NG learns exclusively that every arrangement has been perfected to ensure a successful event.

This year the many highly topical issues to be discussed  include:

• Digital economy priorities for the next Commission – is it time to take stock or time to do more?

• Infrastructure, investment and competition: towards a European single market?

• Implications of changing media frameworks in Europe

• Piecing together the raft of European cyber regulations

• Protecting children online: making the most of the new regulatory era

• Implementation realities: DMA, DSA, Data Act

• Privacy: preview of the 4 year evaluation and review of the GDPR

• AI Act: progress report

In a related news,  IIC is welcoming  three new members into its fold namely: The Bureau of Telecommunication and Post (BT&P) Curaçao, The Communications Regulation Commission (CRC) Colombia, and Looper Insights.
