EBRD President, Odile Renaud-Basso, will outline the EBRD’s vision for helping Ukraine achieve its European destiny during a public lecture at the London School of Economics on Monday, 18 March, from 6.30pm to 8.00pm.
This event, hosted by Bocconi University and the LSE European Institute, is open to the public with prior registration and will also be available online.
The discussion will be chaired by Assistant Professor in European and International Political Economy at the LSE European Institute Angelo Martelli. It will feature Catherine de Vries, Dean for International Affairs and Professor of Political Science at Bocconi University, in a conversation with the EBRD President.
The EBRD has increased its investments in Ukraine in response to the war, deploying €4 billion (US$4.4billion) in the country in the first two years of war. Thanks to a €4 billion capital increase, approved last year by the Bank’s Board of Governors, the EBRD can continue to invest at this level in wartime and has the potential to do more during the post-war reconstruction period.
