The former Chief Technology Officer of Orange has been named CTO of Broadcasting Centre Europe.
Sylvain Merle will join the RTL division where he will oversee and administer all technical divisions. Merle will report to CEO Christophe Goossens and on the BCE executive committee.

Merle brings over three decades of extensive expertise in technology and media. He was Group Chief Technology Officer at Orange/Globecast from January 2017 to April 2024. Before that he was Chief Technology Officer at beIN Sports/beIN Media Group from July 2013 to December 2016 and VP, Technical Operations & Broadcast Director France & Benelux at Fox International Channels from January 2009 to June 2013.
