IIC Caribbean Chapter Online Meeting Is Open To All

AI Ethics & Governance, Cyber Security, and Data Protection is the theme of the online meeting organized by the Caribbean Chapter of the International Institute of Communications(IIC) Cyber Era NG has learnt.

The online roundtable meeting holds over Zoom on Thursday, September 26, 2024.

According to details provided by the Director-General at the IIC, Ms. Lynn Robinson, the roundtable will feature a cadre of panelists with a range of experiences across the region and internationally, and will explore sub-topics such as:

  • Examining the UNESCO Recommendation on the Ethics of AI
  • Role of Regulators in Shaping AI Ethics and Data Policy;
  • Need for and importance of regulations on AI – what form, what areas, what role will be served
  • Cyber Security and Data Protection: Safeguarding Privacy and Responsible Journalism

Kicking off at 10:00 – 12:30 AST / 15:00 – 17:30 BST the online roundtable is complimentary for IIC members and non-members to attend.
