The Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM) has extended through October 31, 2020, relief measures for US exporters and financial institutions impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, the agency announced today. The relief measures – which include waivers, deadline extensions, streamlined processing, and flexibility – were originally announced on March 12, 2020 and extended in April.
“As we work to safely reopen and grow the economy, we want our great United States exporters, especially our nation’s small businesses, to have maximum support and flexibility,” said EXIM President and Chairman Kimberly A. Reed. “EXIM acted immediately to provide relief and flexibility in response to COVID-19 and we are encouraged to see US companies increasingly utilize EXIM tools to support American jobs and grow their exports. However, COVID-19 continues to present significant challenges to US exporters, so EXIM is extending these relief measures.”
“Every EXIM customer should know that we will work with you to address any exporting problems you may face as a result of COVID-19,” said EXIM Senior Vice President of Small Business James G. Burrows, Jr. “Contact us and our team will work with you to provide any flexibility we can so that you can focus on what matters most.”
