Kantar Extends Slovakian TV Measurement Contract To 2029

By Jonathan Easton

Data insights firm Kantar has extended its contract with Slovakia’s TV industry committee PMT.

The renewed deal will see the company provide Slovakia’s official TV audience measurement data until 2029, extending a relationship which was formed in 2004.

As with the previous deal, Kantar will maintain a representative panel of 1,200 households and monitor 150 channels. To do this, Kantar will deploy its newest generation People Meter 7 that uses a touch-screen tablet to measure live and catch-up viewing on TV.

Vladimir Fatika of PMT said: “Our media industry will benefit from the improved technology whilst ensuring the highest possible standards in currency measurement are maintained. We are delighted to be renewing our partnership with Kantar. It follows a rigorous and comprehensive search for the best research and technology partner.

Global Strategic Director at Kantar’s Media Division, Keld Nielsen said: “The renewal of our partnership with the broadcasters is welcome news. I am delighted that Slovakia is the latest industry currency to commission our People Meter 7 technology, which will strengthen the already very solid foundation of the existing panel.”https://www.digitaltveurope.com
