Brazilian content provider Box Brazil has announced the launch of local content OTT platform Box Brazil Play.
Developed by Container Media, the platform is powered by Alpha Networks’ beemix product and offers subscribers more than 20 national channels and over 1,500 titles on VOD.
The platform claims to be Brazil’s first streaming platform dedicated to Brazilian-produced content.
José Wilson Fonseca, Vice President at Box Brazil Group, said: “By offering only VOD content produced by Brazilian companies, Box Brazil Play collaborates so that the national audiovisual industry is strengthened and significantly expands its reach and access to the public.”
CMO at Alpha Networks, Guillaume Devezeaux said: “Our beemix platform is the ad-hoc solution to meet any needs in terms of scalability and cost saving, and on top of that, it offers an optimized user experience through the pre-integrated user interfaces designed by our studio. We are extremely proud we succeeded in delivering this project as the integration of best-in-class technologies together with our partners.”
In addition, Box Brazil employs Irdeto’s rights infrastructure and the VOS360 Live Streaming Platform by Harmonic.
