Orange has launched the Disney+ app on its set-top boxes.
The streamer launched in France last year, but Orange customers have been restricted to watching a linear feed of content on a single channel.
Complementing the launch, eligible Orange subscribers are being offered a discounted package of Disney+ and the Pack Famille package of channels. The bundled offering is priced at €19.99(US$24.02) per month, while Disney+ as a standalone service costs €6.99 per month.
Powering the app’s launch on Orange is software company SoftAtHome through its Watch’ON solution on the Livebox TV platform.
Director of Orange Products and Services and Orange Content, Christian Bombrun said: “Thanks to SoftAtHome’s expertise and with the contribution of Orange teams, we were able to deploy the newly developed Disney+ native application within a short timeframe and offer the extended SVoD service to millions of its subscribers.”
