Moroccan telco Maroc Telecom has launched a new OTT TV platform using technology provided by French OTT specialist Molotov.
MT TV – La télé by Maroc Telecom is offering a bouquet of over 80 live channels along with catch-up and on-demand programming, available on iOS and Android tablets, the web, Chromecast, Android TV and Apple TV. A version for Samsung smart TVs will follow shortly.
The telco has leaned on Molotov’s technology arm, Molotov Solutions and fixed and mobile payment specialist Digital Virgo for the underlying technology of the platform.
The service will be localised in Arabic, with the inversion of the interface to read from right to left necessary to support that language.
Other functionalities include live-to-on-demand, parental control a dn multilingual support.
Maroc Telecom is offering three packages composed on local and international channels along with SVOD premium services Starz Arabia, OSN and PlayVOD.
