UK’s BT said it has inked a strategic partnership with Internet giant Microsoft for collaborating across enterprise voice, cybersecurity, and industry-focused services in sectors such as digital manufacturing to health, as businesses in the UK and across the world get back on the growth track.

Under the partnership, users of BT-managed Microsoft business services will be able to avail themselves of integrated Microsoft applications with secure and reliable connectivity as well as cybersecurity, as per an official statement.

BT has already been named one of the first development partners for Microsoft Operator Connect and Operator Connect Conferencing and the renewed agreement will enable the London-based telco to offer its branded global managed voice services directly through Microsoft Teams.

The strategic partnership will also see the companies design and launch new managed security services for modern workplaces.

BT said it will closely work with Microsoft to develop security products and services for protecting customers across the cloud as well as its own IT infrastructure.
