Alteox Media Consulting struck an agreement with telecom operator Post Luxembourg that will combine the forces of both entities to create a new European cloud TV headend offering.
There are currently over 400 channels available in the cloud headend with more channels being added regularly.
The cloud-based TV headend live stream services will be offered to IPTV operators, OTT platforms, content owners and hotel TV operators globally.
The signals are available as MPEG-TS or via adaptive streaming formats done directly at the source making it possible to work on any platform, set-top boxes or mobile applications, according to Alteox.
The service has also a cloud-based multi-DRM system implemented. The streams are available encrypted in multiple DRM formats using the latest transcoding technologies, the company said.
The CEO of Alteox Media Consulting Sven Breckler said: “Together with our partner, Post, we are now able to offer our customers a comprehensive TV-as-a-service product that will ensure fast delivery of TV signals at the highest industry standards, in a format best suited to their needs. While our solution is ideally suited for smaller TV and OTT operators who find it challenging to operate costly headend stations with massive signal costs it is also adapted to larger organisations who are looking for specific services, cost optimisation and quick time to market for a tailored offering.”
