Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company has announced the appointment of Jackson Lee Davis, IV, he/him, as its new head of diversity, equity and inclusion. Davis was recently the global director of DEI for Meta/Facebook and previously served as head of inclusion, diversity and belonging at Royal Caribbean. Anis Baig, he/him, head of talent equity, attraction and insights at MassMutual, said in a statement: “As our new head of DEI, Jackson will lead MassMutual’s efforts in advancing equity and justice, influencing change and promoting financial well-being for the benefit of our employees, our customers and the communities we serve.”
The Markel Corporation announced the promotion of Morris Taylor to chief information officer. Taylor, who joined Markel in 2018 as head of global technology, will lead IT function across the company’s insurance operations. Taylor previously worked at Capital One for decades in a range of technology roles. Jeremy Noble, chief financial officer at Markel, said in a statement: “Morris is a recognized leader in information technology, who understands the critical role the function plays in the overall operational effectiveness and success of a global corporation. He has been instrumental in defining our IT vision to provide exceptional services and support across our insurance operations to help Markel execute on its strategic priorities.”
