The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development(EBRD) and the British Egyptian Business Association (BEBA) are organizing a seminar on infrastructure, renewables and the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCEZ).
The seminar brings together – Mohamed Shaker, Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, Yehia Zaki, Chair, Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCEZ), Harry Boyd Carpenter, EBRD Managing Director for Climate Strategy & Delivery – with high level keynote panellists from the renewable energy sector in Egypt and the British investors.
The session will explore the Egyptian government’s plans to accelerate renewable energy deployment and the technical pathways available to it in optimising the country’s long-term renewable energy potential.
Participants will discuss solar powered desalination, green logistics, renewable energy, green hydrogen and investment opportunities in the SCEZ and Egypt more broadly.
