Spanish telco Telefónica is reconfiguring its convergence offering, including rebranding Movistar Fúsion as miMovistar, which it says will offer greater flexibility to customers.
The telco said that miMovistar was a “new global portfolio for the general public through which customers will be able to choose the products and services they need in a simple, customizable and flexible way”.
As with Movistar Fúsion, miMovistar will be based on an offering combining internet, voice and data to which customers can add modules including TV. Other added-value services to be offered in the initial phase of rollout include health, gaming and security offerings.
miMovistar users will be provide with a web configuration tool that will enable them to organise products and services, designe the offering of their choice and analyse their bills, according to Telefónica.
miMovistar will include, at no extra cost, Telefónica’s new smart WiFi router, designed to maximise both speed and coverage.
Telefónica also says that miMovistar connectivity options will include, at no extra cost, a device of their choice, which could include smart TVs, tablets or web watches in addition to smartphones.
“Ten years ago we launched a proposal that integrated the communication and content services demanded by the market and which became the leading format in the communications offer. And we designed it after listening intensively to our customers. Since then, the market has changed and we have adapted to it, and we continue to do so today,” said Emilio Gayo, president of Telefónica España.
“We continue to deepen our strategy of diversification of the offer and a commercial strategy that responds to current customer demands, offering them a value proposition that gives them the power to choose and make their lives easier and better.”
