German operator Thüringer Netkom has agreed a partnership with ocilion to utilise its cloud solution.
Thüringer Netkom will also utilise the vendor’s white-labelled and personalised IPTV platform, with a view to launch a modern IPTV product under its own brand by the end of the year.
The company said that the IPTV platform will provide users with future-proof 4K set-top boxes, apps for iOS and Android, extensive channel packages with various convenience functions, a seamlessly integrated video library and media libraries.
Managing director of Thüringer Netkom, Hendrik Westendorff, said: “The modern IPTV solution from ocilion convinced us and rounds off our product portfolio perfectly. An innovative triple play offer is essential for a regional network operator like Thüringer Netkom. Especially with regard to the fibre optic expansion into every apartment, in addition to the high-performance IP connection, an attractive TV offer with modern reception options and functions such as a set-top box or app plays an important role.”
Managing director of ocilion, Hans Kühberger said: “Thüringer Netkom has opted for our proven overall cloud package including software, hardware and accompanying services. This means that it can easily and, above all, quickly migrate its existing customers to the new IPTV platform and win new customers with an attractive TV service. I am very pleased that we were able to inspire another well-known customer in Germany, Thüringer Netkom, with our IPTV cloud solution.”
