Leading Broadband, TV and Online conference and exhibition ANGA COM has unveiled plans for a new Streaming and OTT hub at the 2023 edition of the event, which is scheduled to take place between May 23-25 next year in Cologne, Germany
The new Streaming and OTT hub will be created in Hall 7 in a location between the exhibition boulevard and the open air plaza. A feature of the Hub will be the Innovation Stage, a presentation and discussion stage on topics from the areas of video, streaming, OTT and AppTV. Exhibitors can present their new developments close to their stands.
Organisers said the hub will provide “smaller vendors and start-ups from the media distribution sector with a plug & play solution in a particularly high-end setting and premium visibility”. There will also be a new area for Media Distribution in the exhibition halls.
Commenting on the overall event, ANGA COM said registrations for more than 18,000 sqm of gross exhibition space have already been received for the next show. In terms of space booked by the existing client base, there is currently an increase of 20 per cent compared to 2022. Growth is particularly strong in the booming area of fiber optics. Fiber optics will also be “massively expanded” in the conference programme. There will be an International FTTH Summit for the first time in 2023 with international showcases on fiber optic roll-out.
CEO of ANGA COM, Dr. Peter Charissé said: “The response from exhibitors in the fiber optics sector is overwhelming. We have never had so many stands with over 100, 150 and 200 sqm. With more than €50 billion investment volume in Germany alone, there is an excellent, well-founded basis for this. At the same time, innovative video topics such as IPTV, streaming, OTT and AppTV are continuously gaining in importance.”
