The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) in collaboration with the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), AFRALO and Green ICTi are jointly hosting a free webinar on Universal Acceptance (UA).
The free webinar, Cyber Era NG understands, will be held online on April 6th, 2023.
UA is a technical requirement that ensures all valid domain names and email addresses, regardless of script, language, or character length, can be equally used by all internet-enabled applications, devices, and systems.
ICANN has approved March 28, 2023, as the inaugural UA Day, with the theme: Internet4All. The day is for everyone worldwide, regardless of language or script, to learn about UA and how it can improve internet accessibility for all.
The webinar organizers believe everyone should have equal access to the internet and its resources, and UA is a crucial step in achieving this goal, so attendees are invited to join in promoting internet accessibility for all by attending the webinar and contributing to the conversation.
Learning more about this important topic cannot be overemphasised. Critical stakeholders participation is crucial in spreading awareness and encouraging the adoption of UA by key participants.
