Veteran cybersecurity executive Brad Arkin has left Cisco and will join Salesforce as Chief Trust Officer.
Arkin, a longtime practitioner who was most recently Chief Security and Trust Officer at Cisco, is joining the San Francisco-based Salesforce to take responsibility for building confidence around the company’s use of customer data.
Arkin will replace Vikram Rao, who recently left Salesforce after just 18 months to take on a similar role at Atlassian.
Arkin, who held management positions at @Stake and Cigital, is also well recognized for his work as Chief Security Officer at Adobe.
“Trust underscores everything Salesforce does, and reinforcing trust for our customers, partners, and industry in an AI-first world will be a key part of my role,” Arkin said in a note on LinkedIn.
