Stantec GenerationAV® and clean transportation technology non-profit CALSTART have agreed to collaborate on clean and autonomous vehicle (AV) solutions. The partnership will work to advance transportation technology for fleets, municipalities, private developers, and other organizations integral to the future of transportation.

The partnership will seek to test and deploy AV technology, provide education and outreach on AVs, and work to solve challenges related to projects and programmes, sharing information for the advancement of transportation technology. CALSTART’s clean transportation expertise and industry connections will pair with the Stantec GenerationAV team’s experience in AV testing and deployment to connect the dots on holistic transportation solutions.

“We are at a landmark point in history, where technology offers us the great opportunity to deploy connected and automated mobility solutions that enhance clean transportation,” said Senior Director, CALSTART, Maureen Marshall. “In partnership with Stantec GenerationAV, the solutions we deploy will have an impact around the globe.”

The focus of the partnership will be establishing successful ecosystems for AV deployments, advancing accessibility, safety, and standards for the future of transportation as it related to vehicle platforms, and the movement of passengers and goods. While the partnership is not limited in scope, industries at the forefront of AV and clean technology adoption include essential goods delivery, grocery and food delivery, AV transit, and AV trucking.

“AV technology and clean transportation technology go hand-in-hand,” said Founder/Director of Stantec GenerationAV, Corey Clothier. “We’re on the cusp of a transportation revolution and partnering with CALSTART will help us bring the right solutions to more communities across North America.”

Stantec is consulting on three of the most significant and innovative smart mobility projects in North America: the U2C Programme in Jacksonville, the GoMed AV Programme in Las Vegas, and the FLITE programme in Michigan.
