Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea(ROK)Kang, Kyung-wha spoke over the phone with Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan on April 7 at the latter’s request, and exchanged views on the two countries’ cooperation to cope with the spread of COVID-19.
Minister Abdullah extended deep appreciation to the ROK government, saying that the UAE was responding successfully to COVID-19 thanks to the prompt support from the ROK government providing the UAE with COVID-19 medical equipment, including test kits.
Abdullah highly commended ROK government’s excellent disease control capabilities and balanced policy over COVID-19, which is an exemplary model for the international community.
The two Ministers underscored the importance of international cooperation for overcoming the COVID-19 spread and reaffirmed their will to surmount the difficult time together based on their “Special Strategic Partnership.”
