As the world in general and Nigeria in particular continue to look for innovative ways to prevent and manage the effects of the Corona Virus (COVID-19) pandemic, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Galaxy Backbone(GBB), Professor Muhammad Abubakar has said that working together would enable the world defeat the virus.
Prof. Abubakar in a message to GBB’s customers assured that Galaxy Backbone had put in place measures to ensure minimal service disruptions during the COVID-19 crisis period. He stated that his agency had set up the GBB Covid-19 Action Team to activate and implement the agency’s Business Continuity Plans to ensure that its operations continued to run seamlessly round the clock, daily, even while its employees adhered strictly with safety guidelines as issued by the Federal Ministry Health and its parastatals.
Abubakar explained that in GBB’s role as the Digital Infrastructure and Technology Services Provider to the Federal Government of Nigeria, under the able leadership of the Minister Of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr. Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami, his agency would be making all effort to ensure that communications technologies (Voice and Video Conferencing, Email and other Online services) already deployed at government institutions were fully operational to aid public officers as they carried out their official duties.
